Northwords

Documentary & Interactive

A group of Canada’s leading writers embark on a literary expedition to the north of Labrador to explore the land and seek inspiration, and to instigate new stories and conversation about the north. Featuring Joseph Boyden, Alissa York, Noah Richler, Sarah Leavitt and Rabindranath Maharaj, and guide Shelagh Rogers, Northwords explores the idea of north and shows what happens when the country’s best writers tackle one of its most overwhelmingly beautiful places.

“An ambitious project carrying on the tradition of the best of National Film Board productions.” – Rabble.ca

“To watch Northwords… is to witness on an almost cellular level the deep symbiosis between humans and the natural world.” - BigPacific.com
