A prelude to The National Parks Project, Gros Morne is a startling 43-minute portrait of Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland.

Shot through the lens of visionary cinematographer Peter Mettler. NPP:GM reflects the awesome contradictions embodied in this ageless landscape, where stark earth mantle, inland fjords, seaside stacks and other ancient geological wonders challenge the history of time.

Following its premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival, Gros Morne toured as a live cinema event, with different groups of musicians performing live improvised accompaniment.
